DVI has assisted numerous law firms with respect to new facilities, technologies and systems, including IT, telecoms and audio/visual. We can help small as well as multi-national practices. DVI has also worked with several law firms as an expert witness (EW) on behalf of technology clients.

The Legal Industry is comprised of major multi–national full service firms offering many practices as well as numerous boutique and specialty service practices.  At the same time they need a robust IT computing and document management/storage infrastructure to deal with the management of the often-voluminous legal documentation that follows a typical case.  Cybersecurity and privacy are also critically important business requirements.  Over the years, DVI has supported the evolving communications, computing, and (technology) relocation and/refresh needs of over a dozen high-end legal firms, including Jones, Day, Reavis & Pogue; Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe; and Shearman & Sterling, Leinwand, et al.  DVI’s support ranges from relocating a large law firm, managing the expansion of a firm as well as the design of the video conferencing facilities, or supporting ongoing managed services to facilitate the IT operations of specialized boutiques as well as outsourcing of portions of their IT Infrastructure.   Several cases studies below  illustrate the scope of our work.  

In addition, DVI Communications also provides expert witness support for Intellectual Property (IP) matters involving for patent infringement and validity for a large variety of recent technologies in the telecom carrier, multimedia, VoIP, digital imaging, satellite, wireless, security and e-commerce arenas.  We have  provided technology Expert Witness support in a variety of legal matters.  Patent Infringement,, Trade Secret Protection, Theft of Intellectual Property, Breach of Contract and other actions.  We have several court-qualified experts who have served in both testifying and consultative capacities in litigation in Federal district court as well as, Inter Parties reviews with the USPTO Patent Trial and Appeals Board (PTAB).
